Positive:
Location and staff were great
Negative:
Tricky getting into and out of the place
Positive:
Very attractive rooms, well equipped in a great location. Very helpful, attentive staff, congratulations to cesar for looking after our luggage.
Negative:
Very tricky to find hotel. Although room is beautiful it is overpriced.
Positive:
The staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms were so beautifully unique with lots of attention to detail. The artistic style and elegance of the hotel sets it apart from anywhere else.
Positive:
It is both a hotel and an art gallery, so esthetics and design are truly outstanding! The hotel is built in Umberto I Gallery and is situated in one of the most beautiful quarters of Naples. It is located within 10 minutes walk from the port and therefore close to the embarcadero and the funicular. Many good restaurants and shops can be found there as well. Rooms are very spacious, staff is very friendly and courteous (and English-speaking). At nights, when the shops inside the Gallery are closed, it is very quiet!
Negative:
The hotel has no private parking, and it is not even recommended to get near the hotel by car, as there are pedestrian zones and one-way narrow streets all around, and it is very easy to get stuck. We recommend a parking which is not far away and is situated on 11, Shelly str.
Negative:
There was no SPA as it was mentioned in Hotel description.
Positive:
The location is outstanding; a no-brainer. This is why we chose here (4 nights), having previously stayed in a lesser hotel nearby. Taxis are just out the door and great restaurants, pizzerias, shopping and sights are all within easy walking distance. The building (Galeria Umberto) in which the hotel is located is magnificent; one of Naples’ many stunners. The hotel facilities are excellent; the staff very friendly and very helpful, with very good English spoken by several of them. Value for money wise, we think it was a bargain. The hotel deserves to do well. We will stay here again next time.
Negative:
The only watch point is that there is a tiny lift up to the hotel (4 levels up), which requires a 10c Euro coin, which the hotel provides anyway. We only used it when we came and left with our bags; otherwise we walked up and the magnificent marble stairway, to work off some of our food! But it is a challenging lot of steps so if you don’t have our attitude to working off your food, you’ll need to grab a couple of coins as you go out – which is no big deal.
