Very friendly and attentive staff. The views are breathtaking, great location. The balcony was very spacious, 2 lounge chairs and a table with 2 chairs, umbrella.

We stayed at Il Gabbiano in August of 2011. The height of the tourist season. This was the most reasonably priced hotel for that time. The view of the sea with the private deck was fabulous. The hotel owners were friendly and helpful. We loved the fresh figs at breakfast. It was hard to leave such a peaceful gorgeous place. Definitely will return.

It was a hike to walk to eat from the beach..you could take a bus up or walk up 480to stairs from the beach ..we chose to walk up,what a hike but then we didnt feel that guilty eating spaghetti. Lol

The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The best part is the balcony with the sea views (we loved it!). The staff was so wonderful, very friendly, and offered utmost service and help. We thought the location was perfect; just 15 minutes from the town’s center and beaches, with good restaurants within a 5 minute radius.

a posiçao do hotel e fantastica, a vista maravilhosa, todos os quartos tem vista pro mar. os donos do hotel muito simpaticos e atenciosos. o hotel e simples, pequeno almoço razoavel, mas otimo preço/qualidade. o hotel estava todo pintado pra receber os turistas e com floreiras impecaveis. o parking custa 18 euros por dia, o que e muito bom em se tratando de positano, onde nao tem onde estacionar.
