Positive:
The staff at the Pompei Resort was excellent – cooperative, informative, and every effort was made to insure that our stay was enjoyable. Their shuttle service to the train and Pompei Ruins was great. The restaurant served a variety of food and their staff was very personable and accommodating. Our traveling friends celebrated their anniversary and the staff helped make their night special. There was also an excellent restaurant across the street. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Positive:
Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Facilities were good. Shuttle to ruins very useful Handy to motorway if driving. Would definitely stay again.
Positive:
Pleasant hotel close to the excavation of Pompei – very good value for money.
Negative:
Loud entertainment in the evening till around 2300.
Positive:
Very friendly staff, convenient for archaeological site, good value for money.
Positive:
Pompei Resort is almost faultless. The staff were most obliging, the room was excellent and the food flawless. The one complaint, see below, was worked around. The location was not just as central as suggested, but the hotel’s courtesy bus eradicated this as a problem.
Negative:
The review suggested that the hotel was close to the ruins of ancient Pompei, but in practice it was about a twenty minute walk away for someone like me who is being threatened with replacement knees! However, there was a free courtesy bus which got round the problem.
Positive:
it was all great the staff were excellent, it was no bother for them to transport free of charge to different sites locally.
Positive:
The staff were really helpful & friendly, arranging transfers, info & trips etc, it was located within walking distance of the excavations at Pompei & travel was easy for vesuvius & even sorrento, rooom was clean & comfy if a little small. amazing bathroom & view of vesuvius. A great hotel!
Negative:
Bed was a bit hard & restaurant a bit lonely at night, though out of season so to be expected.
Positive:
The staff were extremely helpful & friendly and the shuttle service was excellent.
Positive:
Hotel recent and modern. Close to evreything in Pompei. Ruins 10 minutes away.
Negative:
I would have expect a better breakfast. We took the dinner at the hotel : avoid it. We paid 18€ per person for reheated pasta and a weird starter (witch made me sick). Run to the closest pizzerria!
Positive:
Simply everything was great! As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the charming Michela who personally took us to our room which she had allocated specially for us, upon my request for a view of Mount Vesuvius, and she explained all its workings clearly. The hotel & room were quiet (considering it was only 300metres from the motorway), warm, cosy, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean (beautiful decor & quality ceramic floors throughout). We ate in the restaurant on the 1st night and what a superb meal; we ate over the road at a restaurant the following night but it wasn’t a patch on the hotel cuisine where we ate again on our 3rd & last night and were impeccably served by the maitre d’ & his staff. The breakfast was also good and offered a nice variety of breads, cereals, pastries, with cheese & ham too if required. We had the compulsory quality Italian capuccino + fruit juice. Cooked eggs + bacon was also on offer for an extra €5 if required. All the staff throughout the hotel were genuinely happy, friendly & could not do enough to help us. We would particularly like to thank Michela, Ornella & the Maitre d’ who all spoke perfect english for my benefit (I’m English & the wife’s Italian). We got an incredibly good deal as we booked when they had a special offer of 3 nights for the price of 2. We even tried to leave a gratuity for all the staff but Ornella refused & said it was not necessary & that they ‘were just pleased to serve us’. Finally, it had a good sized safe car park which we liked as we had our antique Jaguar with us. Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in quite a few.
Positive:
Great hospitality, pleasant people, flexible, helpful. Convenient shuttle to the excavations of ancient Pompei; also close enough to walk to & from there.
